This 8-day safari allows you to explore the must-see parks of northern Tanzania. You will start with the Lake Manyara to then be amazed by the infinite expanses of the most famous and largest park classified as the most beautiful in Africa, the Serengeti. You will dive into the famous Ngorongoro crater, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to end the trip to meet the elephants of Tarangire.

DAY 1

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Transfer to Arusha.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 2

Arusha / Lake Manyara National Parc / Karatu

After breakfast, you will take the road to the Lake Manyara National Park.

Although small in size, this enchanting park is renowned for its beauty: its incredibly lush acacia forest, giant fig trees and mahogany trees are home to herds of baboons and blue monkeys. The park is also home to a large number of buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, impalas and a Hippo Lake, where large numbers of hippos usually congregate.

Well known for its birds (over 400 different species), Lake Manyara is one of the few places where you can see ground hornbills and crested eagles. This park has become famous for the tree climbing lions (although very difficult to see) and the flamingos on the shore of the lake. The landscape of this park is magnificent. Game drives take place along the shore of the lake, offering incredible views of giraffes, buffalos and the lake with its flamingos.

You will have your picnic lunch in the park and you will reach the town of Karatu late afternoon for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 3

Karatu / Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will take the road towards the Serengeti National Park. You can admire the scenery before entering Tanzania's most famous and largest park. The Serengeti will leave you with an unforgettable memory with its endless expanses of acacia savannah, plains, hilly areas and rocky outcrops called KOPJES.

You will have picnic lunch in the Serengeti and enjoy your safari throughout the afternoon before returning to your charming tent camp. So you will dine and spend the night in the heart of the savannah.

DAY 4 and 5

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for a full day safari in the Serengeti. This 14,763 kmÂČ park is home to more than 2 million large animals, including more than a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of plains zebras and different varieties of gazelles. Large predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas are attracted to the region by this abundance of prey which migrates throughout the park. Many small animals such as mongooses, jackals, monkeys also inhabit the region with nearly 500 species of birds.

After a picnic lunch in the park, you will continue your safari and reach your camp in the heart of the savannah for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6

Serengeti / Ngorongoro / Karatu

After breakfast, you will hit the road with a final game drive in the Serengeti to exit and join the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will enjoy the scenery before diving into the famous Ngorongoro crater where you will discover another breathtaking view. You will meet many animals. In fact, there are around 100 animals per kmÂČ in the crater. You will have a picnic lunch in the company of the hippos and can admire zebras and birds very close to you.

At the end of your safari, you will reach Karatu and your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7

Karatu / Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will take the road to the Tarangire National Park. This park has a great diversity of landscapes. Its majestic baobabs are magnificent. Its river which crosses it and which gave it its name attracts many animals coming to drink. This will allow you to come across many predators looking for prey, including lions.

You will certainly come across the many elephant families that inhabit the park and for which it is famous.

You will have a picnic lunch in the park and continue your safari before reaching your lodge in the late afternoon where you will have dinner and overnight.

DAY 8

Tarangire National Park / Arusha / Kilimanjaro International Airport

After breakfast, you will take the road towardsArusha for a tour of the city and its lively local markets, so you can do your last shopping.

 

You will have lunch in a restaurant in the city.

 

In the afternoon, depending on your flight schedule, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

For people traveling with children, we personalize the quote according to their age. Children over 12 years old are considered, for the lodges, as adults on the date of the start of the stay. For the park price, the adult price starts at the age of 16. A child price is applied from 5 years to 15 years.

The price of the safari is paid in USD and the amount does not change. The amount in euros is given as an indication. It was calculated on a euro / dollar rate of 1.16, namely 1 € = 1.16 USD. Payment is by wire transfer in US dollars. The conversion costs are the responsibility of the payer.

VISA and Passport

All visitors to Tanzania need a VISA. These formalities take place on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Visa fees are $ 50 USD per person.

 

Visitors to Tanzania must have a passport valid for six months after the original date of travel.
